Recently, I have been thinking a lot about love and what it means now in the time of Covid. Is it because Valentine’s day is just around the corner? Or is it because we are heading to the point where it will be a year since everything started to change? I’m not really sure what has inspired it, but what I know to be true is this:
“…they had lived together long enough to know that love was always love, anytime and anyplace…”
– Gabriel García Márquez –
So this first Valentine’s Day of the pandemic? Even though it seems like tomorrow is going to be just like today (because today is just like yesterday), it’s important to find and celebrate moments of beauty and to create new traditions.
As much as it seems like someone has pressed “Pause” on the whole world, your amazing, resilient kids are still changing and growing everyday. What are you doing to document this time? What are you going to look back on when you talk about this, the time of Covid?
I’d like to extend an invitation to you: whatever your family’s version of pandemic love is, let’s photograph it!
Let’s create images of love and laughter and joy in this time of uncertainty. It’s love that is the constant, the foundation, the glue. Love is the celebration, today, tomorrow, every day.
There are a few spaces in my calendar this month for studio family sessions and two outside sessions available later in the month for when this cold snap passes.
Those round prints are so pretty!
Thanks so much Kristin! The Artisan Wood Wall Galleries are super popular with my clients!
