This is my family: my fiance and his boys, who are essentially my boys, part-time anyway. This experience really made me realize what you all go through getting ready for a family portrait session. By the time we actually got to the location, we were not super happy campers. I had sent Clint to buy clothes for the boys and we had a huge fight via text while he was at Old Navy because I hated all of the options he was sending me. I was actually ready to call the whole thing off – he was late getting home and we were going to loose the light, but he was like, “WE’RE GOING!” So we went, and I set up my tripod and a remote (which presents its own set of challenges) and by the time we were actually shooting, I remembered why I like him…. which is good. Turns out I love these images, too.
And, because I (at least occasionally) practice what I preach, this heirloom canvas wall gallery lives in my dining room! It’s a 30×40, a 20×30 and 2-11x14s. It makes me heart happy to look at it everyday.
