This week I want to chat about Zara. I was on Zara’s website over the weekend while I was working on my Simply Holiday Client Prep Guide. I was going through some websites and tagging some outfits to help mama’s out while they’re planning wardrobes for their Simply Holiday Sessions which are coming up on November 14! I literally could have dropped $500, no word of a lie, without even blinking from Zara. I could have bought ALL THE THINGS for the studio wardrobe.

In case you didn’t get this from that little video… neutrals! Neutrals are always going to be an amazing addition to your wardrobe for your portrait session. Doesn’t matter whether it’s a Simply Holiday Session with a festive theme, or a regular session in the studio or outside at the field, you can’t go wrong if you stick to a classic neutral palette. You can add a little bit of pattern for interest, but you really can’t go wrong with neutrals. It allows us to focus on your beautiful expressions and your kid’s adorable faces without being distracted by the clothing that you’re wearing.
By choosing a neutral palette, you choose to allow your faces to be the focus of your images without distractions from bright colours.
Done correctly, it is a clean & classic look that stands the test of time.
